Mama Fitness

Our fun and effective fitness mum and baby class

Unsure of what you can and cannot do after giving birth or your c-section? Is postpartum exercise feeling like a daunting prospect? Do you want to exercise, but need to have your baby with you?

You are in safe hands with our physiotherapy and dance teacher-designed ‘mummy-and-me’ baby classes! Mama Fitness is our fun fitness class where you learn simple routines and exercises, whilst going at your own pace.

Open to all mums and babies (no baby age limit!) Mama Fitness combines effective fitness routines with baby bonding. Some of the exercises are designed for you to be holding your baby if you choose OR if your baby is too big you can exercise without or use a weight instead!

These specialised mum and baby classes have been designed by a physiotherapist and dance teacher specifically for postpartum bodies. The focus is to safely ease new mums back into fitness whilst bonding with their little ones and having fun!

Mama Fitness is a friendly fitness class for all abilities and is suitable from six weeks postpartum (or 8-10 weeks post-c-section with confirmation from your GP). Based around Cardiff and Dinas Powys.

Mama Fitness is open and accessible to all mums and babies, regardless of your little one’s age or mobility.

You can do the entire class holding your baby, or leave them to play and explore with toys on the mats. You have the freedom to exercise in a way that works for you and your baby, in a relaxed and comfortable environment.

Class Themes

Our classes are always being updated to ensure maximum fun for mum and baby! We have different themes in every six-week course to keep the routines fresh and fun with popular music you just can’t help but dance to!

Past themes for Mama Fitness include Back to the 90s, Hollywood, Musicals, Around the World, Divas and Dance through the Ages!
